A community-oriented martial arts academy

A key tenet of our martial arts training program is community. At Tiger-Rock Martial Arts, we pride ourselves in being a close-knit community. Our instructors and staff work to get to know every student and their parent(s). We take an active interest in the goals you have for your child (or for yourself).

Tiger-Rock believes that martial arts is ultimately a collaborative effort between the student, the parent, and the instructors. This Tiger-Rock location is a team-oriented martial arts academy where students actively support one another through teamwork, cooperation, and friendship.

Flexible lesson schedules that put the student first

Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of Tallahassee holds lessons 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. Lesson times are determined by age group program and, depending on the age group, by belt rank.

Students are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes early before the start of their lesson. Late-arriving students will not be allowed to participate.

Bimonthly student exams measure progress

Students can advance in belt rank up to 6 times per calendar year. Your Tiger-Rock instructor will explain the structure of these Belt Exams as well as rules and qualifications for participation.

Belt Examinations are an essential component of Tiger-Rock membership. These exams help measure a student’s progress in the development of martial arts, life, and self-defense skills.

Competitive events throughout the year

At Tiger-Rock, martial arts is also a competitive sport. Students will have the opportunity to compete in fast-paced, action-packed tournaments three times a year. The Fall and Spring Tournaments are local meets where students from across your local metropolitan area compete against each other. The National Championship event held in July features Tiger-Rock competitors from across the country participating at a large destination tournament.
